Mt Merrion (a) 10/11
After a run of 4 weeks without a fixture due to rain, and most of the team being away one week, the lads from Terenure FC are itching to get out and play a macth. The fact that this game isn’t in bushy gives us some confidence that it will go ahead, the forecast looks good to!The opposition for Sunday’s fixture come into the game with their pride hurt and damaged after an 8-2 home defeat to Knocklyon last weekend. So far in the league they have taken 10 points from 8 games (3wins, 1 draw, 4 defeats). There most impressive result was a 4-3 win over cup semi-finalists Blessington AFC. When Terenure played Blessington, in horrendous conditions, they were thrashed 9-0. However since that win Mt Merrion have lost 7-0 to second place Knockmitten Utd and 8-2 to 4th place Knocklyon Utd. In Terenure's last outing they were comprehensively beaten by an average Granada team. That said they were missing 3 or 4 key players to a gaisce hill walk. Mt Merrion's were knocked out of the cup in the previous round to the same opposition by a score line of 3 goals to 2.Sundays Opposition |

Park Celtic (h) 20/10/13
This coming weekend Terenure FC have a huge crunch match at the bottom of the table. They play Park Celtic in which after 4 straight away games will be there first home match. This has given the lads extra motivation coming into this game which will hopefully have a strong turnout of home support in attendance. The oppositon we face on Sunday are not as strong as the previously faced teams. Park Celtic's results in the league so far have slumped since a 5-3 opening day victory at home to Ballyowen Celtic. Since then a 6-2 defeat away to Granada, a 6-1 loss away to a strong Esker Celtic outifit, a 10-4 loss at home to St James Athletic and a 4-1 away defeat to Mt Merrion have seen them slump to second bottom in the table with just 3 points out of a possible 15.
However, Terenure cannot boast a strong run of form. Terenure's streak of 4 straight losses, all of them comprehensive, have seen morale in the squad drop. This fixture then against the other most out of form side in the division and in front of a home crowd for the first time this season seems an ideal opportunity to write the wrongs of a catostrophic opening run of form.

Esker Celtic (a) 6/10/13
This Coming Weekend Terenure FC will face off against Esker Celtic at Hermitage Park. Terenure come into the game under huge pressure after being comprhensivly beaten in their opening two league games. However the inexperienced side will be buoyed by the return of their two most influentialdefenders Louis and Matt.
Esker Celtic's recent run of form has been nothing short of impressive with a big win over Park Celtic in their latest outing. A 4-3 win over Mt Merrion in their first league game means they have a 100% record in the league coming into Sunday's crunch match. Despite their electrifying league form Esker have suffered a loss in the cup to free scoring beechwood with beechwood running out 6-5 winners.
The contrasting form of these two sides will make for an enthralling clash and Terenure are hoping that there will be no repeat of the dodgy defending that has cost them 13 goals in their opening two games. Esker Celtic look set to stroll out comftorbale winners but tales of the all conquring underdogs are not uncommon in football. Is their hope for this faltering Terenure outfit? All will be revealed come Sunday...
